Hi, I’m Holly, owner of HICCUPS & THREADS. In the 90s, my babies were “super spit-uppers,” and terrycloth burp cloths didn’t cut it. So, I turned to cloth diapers for their thick, absorbent cotton. With a little help from my mother-in-law, I started adding personalized embroidery so my kids’ things were easy to spot after playgroup. What began as a practical solution became a favorite gift and a word-of-mouth business while living in Houston. Now in Ohio and in my “Grandma Era,” I’m back behind the embroidery machine making personalized burp cloths as new baby gifts that wash beautifully and become keepsakes. As for the name HICCUPS, both of my kids' fits of laughter as babies used to result in getting a case of the hiccups which almost always caused a need for a HICCUPS Burp Cloth. 🥰
